Windows Vista Should You Be An Early Adopter

With all the new software products that Microsoft has brought to the market place, There has always been problems associated with them. It's not that Microsoft creates a bad product. Ever since the DOS operating system, every new upgrade and new OS version has involved a greater complexity being incorporated in the functionality of the OS.

In short each incarnation of the Microsoft OS, is being asked to do more and more, and become more user friendly. Where computing was once the domain of computer literate professionals, computing is now being fashioned to be used by layman with no computing background. The demand on newer operating systems is that they have to be more intuitive to what the user wants done, and do it with the least reliance on the users knowledge of computing.

There is a vast number of unknown variables when you are trying to be intuitive about what people want, there are many applications and choices available to people when it comes to computers. To achieve perfection you have to constantly improve on your product as new information come to light. Thus Microsoft Vista as ready as Microsoft can make it, is an imperfect operating system. It's not until it is widely used in the world wide community that the short comings of the OS can come to light.

If you are planning to be an early adopter of Vista, expect to have problems some where down the line. The other alternative is to wait until time brings to light problems yet unknown about the Vista operating system, and a service pack is out to resolve these problems.
